New health information website for young people, 14/11/08 [W]

The Welsh Ambulance Service has launched a brand new bilingual health website to provide relevant, up-to-date, quality information to Wales' young people.

Combining lifestyle and healthcare issues, the website enables young people to be more active concerning their own wellbeing, to have a greater understanding of health issues and to make informed lifestyle decisions.

The 'Your Health' section covers a wide range of topics such as healthy eating, bullying and fitness. Other features include an interactive event map, a search facility to find a local dentist or doctor and a weekly quick vote.

The website can be visited at www.theroom.wales.nhs.uk or in Welsh at www.yrystafell.wales.nhs.uk.
