Legal Aid, Sentencing and Punishment of Offenders Bill 2010-11, 21/06/11 [W/E]
This Bill was laid before Parliament on the 21 June 2011 and contains a number of measures on reforming Legal Aid, as well as provisions on sentencing and reducing reoffending.
Human Trafficking (Further Provisions and Support for Victims) Bill [HL] 17/03/2011 [E/W/NI/S]
This Bill was laid before Parliament on 17th March 2011 and makes provision about human trafficking offences, measures to prevent and combat human trafficking and the provision of support for victims of human trafficking.
Welfare Reform Bill, 16/02/11 [E/S/W]
The Welfare Reform Bill was laid before Parliament on 16 February 2011. It contains a number of provisions that will reshape the benefit system, which were outlined in the UK Government’s White paper, Universal Credit: welfare that works published in November 2010.
Protection of Freedoms Bill 2010-11, 16/02/11 [W/E/NI/S]
The Protection of Freedoms Bill was laid before Parliament on 11 February and contains a wide range of measures, including restricting the scope of the 'vetting and barring' scheme for protecting vulnerable groups and making changes to the system of criminal records checks.
The Health and Social Care Bill , 19/01/11 [E/NI/S/W]
The Health and Social Care Bill was laid before Parliament on 19 January 2011. While much of the bill will apply to England only, there are parts of it relating to other parts of parts of the UK.
Grandparents (Access Rights) Bill 2010-11, 23/11/2010
This Bill was presented to Parliament on 23 November 2010, and gives grandparents access rights of access to their grandchildren in certain circumstances; and for connected purposes.
Carers (Identification and Support) Bill, 14/07/10 [W]
The Carers (Identification and Support) Bill was laid before Parliament on the 14 July 2010 and requires health bodies to require identify carers and refer them to sources of help were relevant. It also make provision in relation to the responsibilities of local authorities and schools for the needs of young carers and their families.
Shared Parenting Orders Bill 2010-11, 13/07/10 [W/E/NI/S]
This Bill was presented to Parliament on 13 July 2010 and makes provision for the making of Shared Parenting Orders and to create a legal presumption that such Orders enhance the welfare of the child unless certain exceptions apply; and for connected purposes.
Domestic Violence, Crime and Victims (Amendment) Bill, 30/06/10 [W/E]
The Domestic Violence, Crime and Victims (Amendment) Bill was laid before Parliament on the 30 June 2010, and makes amendments to Section 5 of the Act to include situations where children and vulnerable adults have been seriously harmed.
