Pedestrian Road Casualties, 2009, 08/07/10 [W]

The Welsh Assembly Government has published a statistical bulletin entitled ‘Pedestrian Road Casualties, 2009’.

The bulletin shows that:

Child pedestrian casualties have declined since 1979 and have declined as a proportion of all pedestrian casualties since 2002.
A substantial minority of child pedestrian casualties were travelling to or from school.
Most child pedestrian casualties occurred in 30 mph zones.
Most child pedestrians are hit by cars; in fine weather.
