Services Provided


Gingerbread is a National organisation that operates throughout Wales and England. Their main aims are to offer advice, information and support to lone parents families as well as to represent the views of lone parents families to the media and politicians

Self help groups offering parents a place to go with their children to meet other lone parent families A National Advice Line offering confidential advice on anything from benefits, returning to work and family law.

Discount voucher booklet for members providing money off holidays and entrance to theme parks etc A quarterly "Ginger & Junior Ginger" newsletter Lone parents' or Lone fathers' handbooks full of information for anyone bringing up children alone Regional & national fun days, holidays & events offering affordable breaks and opportunities to meet other Gingerbread members and Group training schemes

Anyone who is bringing up a child (pre-born to 18 years) on their own can join Gingerbread. The members include mothers, fathers, siblings and grandparents. Self-help groups are run voluntarily by lone parents in many parts of Wales. You do not need to attend a Gingerbread group to be a member.
