Cerebra works to ensure that up-to-date, evidence-based knowledge is available and applied for the prevention of brain damage and for proven treatments. Cerebra operates an information, contact and support network for Mums, Dads, Grandparents and others involved with any child with a brain-related condition.

The Department based in Carmarthen exists to develop services and answer enquiries. They fund cutting edge research and also conduct their own research into questions from parents and provide detailed answers to information requested. Members have access to a Postal Lending Library, receive a quarterly newsletter (the Bulletin), and have access to a range of services that include stress counselling and speech and language therapy.

Cerebra own their own holiday home with its own special facilities and sensory rooms, available to members for respite care, and operates a large grants scheme for people to apply for direct help towards equipment and treatment designed to make their child’s life better and happier.

Cerebra also operates its own innovation centre where bespoke technical solutions are designed to produce equipment that addresses everyday problems experienced by members and delivers its own educational programme leading to Nationally recognised qualifications in subject areas designed specifically for those with or with an interest in brain conditions.
