Assessing Teaching Practice: Pupils of Hafod Primary School

If you want to improve your service then ask the ones that use it! – improve pupil learning through assessment of teaching practices. Pupil assessors at Hafod Primary talked about their experiences of assessing teaching practice and also what they learnt about children’s rights using the Rights Respecting School model.

Listening and Learning: Gareth Jones, Children’s Commissioners Office

Over the last two years the Commissioner’s Office has been working with children and young people from across Wales to identify what helps children have a positive learning experience. Their findings helped to design a resource which is aimed at all working in the education sector – it includes messages from children and young people from across Wales about their learning experience and is packed with useful information about current policy developments and initiatives about children’s participation.

Charlotte provided the very latest on the Children and Young People Planning Guidance, National Priorities (6+1), Children and Young People’s Partnership Self Assessment Improvement Tool, WAG internal structures and what to expect in the forthcoming year from the Partnership Support Team.
