Communities First - The Future consultation, September 2011 - This is the response that Children in Wales and ECPN submitted to the Welsh Government's consultation on the future of Communities First.

Households Below Average Income May 2011- This is a briefing by the End Child Poverty Network on the latest national statistics on Households Below Average Income (HBAI), produced by the  UK Government’s Department for Work and Pensions and were released on 12th May 2011.

Manifesto Commitments (Child Poverty) April 2011- This is a briefing by the End Child Poverty Network on the commitments made regarding child poverty issues, contained in the Manifestos of the four main political parties in Wales for the National Assembly for Wales election on 5 May.

Child Poverty: A Manifesto Towards Eradication 24 November 2010 - The End Child Poverty Network Cymru Manifesto was launched at the Senedd on 24 November as part of an event that was sponsored by Helen Mary Jones, AM, and Chair of the National Assembly’s Children and Young People Committee. Copies of the Manifesto were sent to Assembly Members and prospective AMs so that they could refer to it in their campaign for the Assembly Elections in 2011.  It comprises eight overarching priorities.

Fairness Test 17 October 2010 - ECPN Cymru is calling on the Welsh Assembly Government to commit to a Fairness Test to ensure decisions on spending cuts in the November 2010 budget do not unfairly impact on disadvantaged children living in poverty in Wales.

5 Point Charter 2010 - This Charter identifies action to tackle income child poverty in Wales. The Charter, issued ahead of the General Election on May 6th 2010, sets out the steps that the incoming UK Government needs to take to address this growing problem in policy areas it has responsibility for.

This Briefing Paper calls on the UK Government to invest at least £3 billion on benefits and tax credits in time to reach the joint UK and Welsh Assembly Government target of halving child poverty by 2010.

Child Poverty and Social Exclusion in Rural Wales October 2010 - This report highlights a number of ways in which children and young people who live in low-income or benefit households in rural Wales are being excluded from services that are available to their contemporaries living in urban areas.

Cost of Education - A Renewed Call 2008
This Briefing Paper, produced for the UN International Day for the Eradication of Child Poverty 2008, renews the call for the Welsh Assembly Government look into the feasibility of introducing free school meals for school all pupils across Wales. (pdf 69KB)

This briefing paper, produced for the UN Eradication of Poverty Day 2006, highlights the "hidden" costs of schooling and presents a number of recommendations. (pdf 42KB)

Good Practice Guide for Schools 2006
‘Tackling Child Poverty in Wales : A Good Practice Guide’ is a booklet asking teachers to contribute to tackling the issue of child poverty in Wales by recognising key contributory factors and by taking practical steps within schools. (pdf 550KB).
